Free The Tone have succeeded in developing a cable with a diameter of 5mm, which is generally not seen. In order to achieve both sound quality and ease of use which is required for connecting effectors, Free The Tone have invested all of the know-how acquired until now. A cable that is too thick is difficult to use to connect effectors and stress on the soldered parts is increased by the cable tension, so that the possibility of a failure is increased. Free The Tone made every effort in designing the CU-5050 cable to reduce stress on soldered parts, and achieve a cable that is extremely durable and can provide a long lifetime of service.
This is a warm sounding cable for instrument use with such clarity that you can almost see the vibration of your strings. The basic concept in developing this cable was ” The sound that makes you want to keep on playing!” You will experience a sound that is as close to the raw sound of your guitar or bass as possible. All of the characteristics of your guitar or bass will be maintained while at the same time, any harsh electrical noise picked up by the pickups in your instrument will be eliminated.
About the Plug
The Free The Tone original design waveform plugs are used for the CU-5050 to prevent slipping and make it easier to connect/disconnect the plug.
The inside of the plug is also a Free The Tone unique design. The tip (hot) inside the plug has a tongue shape connection terminal and a large ground contact area is provided for connecting the core and ground wires, and as a result, the sound quality and intensity is improved compared with other plugs. In addition, the sleeve that protects the cable is firmly to clamped to the plug in order to reduce the possibility of breakage.
As there are various jack positions and directions on effectors, we have prepared four types of plugs to cope with all possibilities.
